Can I buy parts or the just the whole valve - which is better?

Parts are available. Better? Parts required, time and money is the consideration. Money: If only the internal parts of seals and plungers are needed, cost wise replacement kits are the best value. If the solenoid is needed with the internal parts, the cost is about 65% that of a need valve. Time: Any** of the TIR valves are rebuild able using the parts from off the shelf new valves and leaves the valve body (plumbing) in place. IF you are spraying this can get you back up faster than ordering a needed part.

**SV.1999A's - check plunger length 1.250" was standard length until 2000 then changed to 1.000". Repair is to either change solenoid and plunger to current version at the same time or contact factor for plunger availability of 1.250". The SV.2100"B" solenoid went out of production in 21015 and replacement seals and parts are not available. The SV.2100C replaces that valve, but requires the valve body be changed as well.
